Saudis open new phase in Asia oil market: Reuters

According to a recent report, Saudi Arabia has sold a spot crude cargo to an independent Chinese refiner, marking a new phase in the turf war for dominance over Asia’s oil market. This sends a strong message to its rivals Russia and Iran.

Sasol Wins ‘Best Stand Award’ at OGWA 2016

Sasol, the international integrated chemicals and energy company, won the “Best Stand Award” at the recent Oil and Gas West Asia Exhibition – OGWA 2016, one of the largest and most important oil and gas events in the region. Officials commended the Sasol booth, as it linked both the South African and Omani cultures.

Oman’s oil & condensate reserves go up

In 2015, Oman’s average oil & condensate production was 981,000 b/d compared to 943,000 b/d in 2014. The gas production in 2015 was 103 Mm3/d, almost same as achieved in 2014, informed H.E. Salim bin Nasser Al-Aufi, Undersecretary, Ministry of Oil & Gas while speaking at the Ministry’s annual media briefing.
