Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran) has launched its festive-themed ‘Winter Village’, which will offer a wide array of fun activities for families and the local community this winter season.
The festival started on December 14 and continue until December 23, 2017, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC)–Madinat Al Irfan.
Complete with a food festival, thrilling games and live entertainment from some of winter’s favourite characters, OCEC–Madinat Al Irfan will create a unique experience for the whole family.
The event also welcomes art enthusiasts to witness popular Omani artists creating unique outdoor artworks for display. Visitors can also enjoy painting and decorating in different designs and colours at the ‘Paint Your Own Bardan’, making their own sculptures of the winter ‘snow ball’ mascot.
“This initiative provides an ideal opportunity for the public and businesses alike to experience OCEC’s state-of-the-art features, whilst bringing the Omani community together for a fantastic family day out. Besides the array of festive activities, the entry to the Winter Village will be free, and many prizes and giveaways will be distributed among the visitors at the Winter Village,” stated Fuad Musafir, Event and Brand Specialist at OMRAN.
Visitors can enjoy the season’s market which will feature a range of restaurants and coffee shops, as well as delicacy stalls, including participation from 10 Omani F&B outlets. Shoppers can also browse through stalls set up by more than 20 retail outlets run by Omani small and medium enterprises, including those for women and children’s accessories, fashion wear, home décor and cosmetics, among others.
‘Winter Village’ is set to enhance OCEC–Madinat Al Irfan as the pre-eminent multi-purpose venue in Oman and help it become the talk of the town by creating appealing, joyful and memorable experiences for the entire local community.
